Known for his acoustic guitar artistry and crystal clear tenor
voice, Gregory Lygon
is quickly earning
respect from his peers in the greater Washington, DC area music
community. “If Gregory Lygon doesn’t get discovered” said Diane
Gibbs in the Alexandria Old Town Crier, “then shame on the world and
those in high places that could make it
happen.” SAW Board Member Ron Goad has raved “Gregory Lygon is one
of the Washington area’s best songwriters”.
Although his voice and work often draw comparison to Kenny Loggins
or Dan Fogelberg, Gibbs warns that Lygon “should not be compared to
anybody because he is a unicorn; enigmatic and rare”.
Performing regularly throughout the Washington Metro Area and
Central Virginia, Lygon’s gentle rapport and musicianship energize
audiences, heal the soul and soothe the spirit. Lygon has shared the
bill with Al Petteway and Amy White, Jonathan Byrd, Zoe Mulford, as
well as disappear fear and Pepino D’Agostino (both as a member of
Cerulean Groove).
